This beautiful tradition bridges the cultural heritage of both families, offering guests a glimpse into the deep respect and values at the heart of Chinese & Vietnamese customs. Join us in celebrating this joyous occasion, experiencing the heartfelt rituals, and witnessing the beginning of a lifetime of shared happiness for the couple.

The traditional tea ceremony begins at Phoi's family home, where Gavin, the groom, and his family arrive in a formal procession, bringing thoughtful gifts to present to Phoi's family as a gesture of respect and goodwill. During this heartfelt gathering, Gavin’s family formally seeks permission to welcome Phoi into their family. As part of the ceremony, Gavin and Phoi then offer tea to Phoi’s parents and elders, symbolising gratitude and respect. The ceremony concludes with heartfelt blessings and wise advice from Phoi’s family, wishing the couple a joyful and prosperous future together.
